Importing Data into eTIMEphone

The files you import contain employee information, labor accounts, work rules, etc. This information is used by eTIMEphone to customize the phone interface to match your requirements.

To import data into eTIMEphone:

1. Choose one of the follow procedures:

a) For Enterprise eTIME installations refer to the “eTIMEphone TLM Interface User Guide” for the steps to automate this process.

b) For TimeSaver installations refer to the “TimeSaver to eTIMEphone Interface Guide” for the steps to export TimeSaver Employee and Configuration Data for eTIMEphone”. Upon completion proceed to step 2.

2. Log On to eTIMEphone.

3. Select Settings, Import Export then open the Import tab.

4. Click the Browse button and a Windows navigation dialog displays.

5. Using standard Windows navigation, locate and select the file you want to upload. You need only to select the Employee and Configuration Data Import files associated with the eTIMEphone features you plan to use.

For example:

- To update the Employees in eTIMEphone, upload the “Employees.csv”.

- To update the Departments in eTIMEphone, upload the “Departments.csv”.

- To update the Positions in eTIMEphone, upload the “Positions.csv”.

- To update the Sites in eTIMEphone, upload the “Sites.csv”.

- To update the Paycodes in eTIMEphone, upload the “Paycodes.csv”.

6. Click Upload to upload the selected file.

7. To upload another file, click Upload Another File otherwise, click Upload Complete. The files you uploaded will display in the “Select (DataPoster/XML/ data) files to import” list box.

8. You can now import the files using the Import function. You may select just the file(s) you want to import from the “Select (DataPoster/XML/data) files to import” list box, or click Select All.

9. Click Import to import the files you’ve selected.

Information from the selected files is imported into the eTIMEphone database and files that have been imported previously are removed from the list.
